How This NZ Bank Validator Works
New Zealand bank accounts follow a strict format with built-in error checking. Every valid account number passes a mathematical verification called a “modulus check.”
Account Format = BB-BBBB-AAAAAAA-SSS
Where:
- BB = 2-digit bank code
- BBBB = 4-digit branch code
- AAAAAAA = 7-digit account base number
